Digger, listener, runner, Prince with the swift warning…
Oh hang on, that was Watership Down.
Lauren ‘Deadly Knitshade‘ O’Farrell (or Beagleskin to certain ‘special’ people), many things in life but most of all a writer, traveller, knitter (ridiculously proud co-founder of Stitch and Bitch London) and S&B London Stitchette, and upside-down turner of small dogs.
I also kicked the arse of cancer a few years back (Hodgkin’s lymphoma to be very exact about it), and have been attempting to do fabulous things with the extra time I have stolen.
I may also be associated with the Deadly Knitshade of yarnstorming graffiti knitting fame. I couldn’t possibly comment.
That’ll do for now.

i was so happy that you found me, i tried the address you gave me in varanasi, but i think it took me to a counterfeit american site, and i couldnt locate how to reach you. well i have a lot of reading to do now, to catch up and i see that i must improve me writing some (notice how in my last post i vowed to not compete) point is, i like your writing style and i just started. i hope this reaches you, all the best for the new year, ken
Hello,
My name is Ann Orsburn I am very interested in traveling.
I have came across your site and found it particularly inspiring and interesting. Therefore, I would like to congratulate you on the great job you are doing as a travel writer.
I am also an active member on an Internet travel-community that specializes in sharing first-hand travel experience. I think your articles can be of great help to tourists around the world and I would like to invite you to share them with fellow travelers.
Registration is free and members can suggest articles, vote and comment on them. The articles suggested do not necessarily have to be written by members. Real authors are notified about the nomination through e-mail and are invited to join the discussions and contribute.
All you need to do for your article to be there is just give the link to the actual location of it and make a short description. In this way the visitors are directly redirected to the original location of the article, but the advantage of having them placed here is that, you do not only expand your readership, but also receive feedback from other authors and travelers.
Please visit:

to see how it works.
I thought about suggesting your articles myself, but it would be so much better for you and for other users to do it yourself and then personally receive feedback from them.
Hope I convinced you and do not hesitate to contact me in case you have any queries!
Sincerely yours,
Ann Orsburn.
So, I’m relatively new to the blogging circuit and I have questions. Maybe you can help…
And believe me, I’m moving to France as soon as money allows!! I’m not stalking you – I’m just sick of the bs here and you guys have universal health care. Thanks!
You have all this cool stuff on your site: a personalized logo (digging the skull and crossed needles), fancy buttons and links. I notice also that when I comment to you my name becomes a hyperlink to my site, thanks for that, now how do I do it for people such as yourself? I get the feeling this is an actual website, whereas mine is a blog site hosted by blogspot – not the same thing. How do I do all this customizing? And how do I respond to comments?
Thank you for all your comments. I don’t really get comments that often, so much appreciated.
Thanks for all the great ideas. It’s funny that the info blog has the phrase ‘blogger sucks wanna move to wordpress’, because it kinda does. I’ll look into it soon – suppose the blog doesn’t take priority over housing and food…but it’s a close second.
Hi Lauren! I’m writing a feature for a knitting magazine and am after stories from people who’ve knitted for animals. I love the piccie of your piglet, and wondered if I’d be able to feature it in the article? I’d be so, so grateful if you could drop me a line!
PS love your blog. Am so jealous of your travels!
Hi lauren
I love your blog and I am sure some savvy publisher will scoop you up.
I wrote the very first guerilla knitting feature (as far as I know) for ES magazine many eons ago about Cast Off if you remember them. It involved getting tube goers to knit fags on the tube. I also joined the same merry band of guerilla knitters under two tower blocks in Vicky park and watched them implode. My cousin still says it was her best day out in London EVER!!
I now run the Midcentury.Modern show and moonlight under the fictional name of abigail tight (www.modernshows.com) in my blog http://www.butterflydiaries.wordpress.com.
Keep in touch and keep up the good work…

Thanks very much.
Fab to know knit graffiti is a tradition in London.
Hi, Lauren! You inspire me! Thank you and merry Christmas!

Gosh.
*blushes*
Thanks very much.
Hey Lauren, I’d really like to email you in regards to a documentary being made about guerilla knitting, can you please send me an email as I can’t find it anywhere on the website. Thanks
